The Chamber of Commerce of the Palm Beaches honored Ken Himmel, CEO of Related Urban, with its Lifetime Leader Award on Friday, May 19, at the Chamber’s annual Business Awards Breakfast.
The award is given to individuals who have made significant contributions to the business community.
Bill Bone had the honor of interviewing Ken for the award as well as introducing him at the Awards Breakfast.
According to Ken, Bill Bone shared a “beautifully-written and thorough introduction of Ken’s lengthy career and investment in the development and long-term success of Downtown West Palm.”

Ken thanked the Chamber of Commerce for the award and said that he was honored to be recognized, adding that he is committed to continuing to develop great places that make a difference in the community.
Ken is the co-founder and CEO of Related Urban, a leading developer of mixed-use properties. He has been involved in the development of some of the most iconic properties in the country, including Copley Place in Boston, Water Place Tower in Chicago, and Reston Town Square in Virginia.
In recent years, Ken has focused on developing properties in downtown West Palm Beach. He is currently leading the development of Rosemary Square, a $1 billion mixed-use project that will include luxury residences, office space, retail, and restaurants.
